Each Wednesday throughout the 2014-15 athletics season, fans receive a behind-the-scenes look at the life of a Marauder as they go under the Marauder Spotlight.

After losing three seniors to graduation and with five seniors on the 2015 roster, Millersville volleyball needed to restock its roster with a quality recruiting class. To do that Coach Brian Smith signed six incoming freshmen who will begin their Marauder careers this fall.

The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released the list of 2014-2015 PSAC Scholar-Athletes, and 105 Millersville University student-athletes received the honor.

Millersville women's volleyball came out swinging Friday winning its first two matches of the Marauder Clash. The Marauders did so in dominant fashion without dropping a single set first against Felician College (25-18, 25-23, 25-18) in the afternoon tilt, and later against Virginia Union (25-13, 25-15, 25-18).

The Millersville women's volleyball team kept rolling on day two of the Marauder Clash, defeating USciences (25-18, 25-19, 25-17) and edging out Ohio Valley in four sets (24-26, 25-13, 25-19, 25-21).

After recording 50 kills in four matches, Millersville University senior Kayla Wallace was named PSAC East Player of the Week.

Millersville volleyball handled its first road test successfully as it took down St. Rose (26-24, 24-26, 25-15, 25-21) in four sets to improve to 5-0 on the year.

In its final match of the Roberts Wesleyan Quad the Millersville women's volleyball team downed the hosts 25-21, 25-14, 25-16. The Marauders latest victory improves their overall record to 6-0; the Ville's best start in program history.

Off to its best start in program history, Millersville volleyball (6-0) returns home to host the Chesnut Hill Griffins (0-8) at 7 p.m. The Marauders have been dominant thus far, dropping just two sets in its first six matches.

The Milersville women's volleyball team kept up its red-hot play Tuesday night by defeating Chesnut Hill 3-0 (25-18, 25-11, 25-11) to improve to 7-0 on the young season.

After a week off, Millersville tries to remain undefeated (7-0) as they take on Philadelphia University Tuesday. The Philadelphia Rams enter the contest coming off a home win Saturday over Southern Connecticut State.

Millersville's perfect record was spoiled by Philadelphia in five back-and-forth sets Tuesday evening in Pucillo Gymnasium, 25-22, 21-25, 23-25, 25-19, 17-15.

In the first PSAC Crossover of the season, Millersville let 2-0 leads slip away first against Edinboro (25-19, 25-23, 17-25, 21-25, 15-10), and later versus Mercyhurst (25-16, 25-20, 18-25, 17-25, 8-15).

Millersville stopped a three-match skid with a four-set win over Slippery Rock (25-19, 25-19, 17-25, 25-21) before dropping their second match of Saturday's PSAC Crossover to Gannon, 3-1 (17-25, 25-17, 19-25, 19-25). Senior Brooklyn Smith recorded 47 digs on the day, bringing her career dig total to 2,024 which moved her past Jennie Rohrbaugh's all-time career mark of 1,944.

The Millersville volleyball team fell to 8-5 after getting swept by Pitt-Johnstown (25-11, 25-21, 25-16) in the first of three matches for the Marauders this weekend.

The Millersville women's volleyball team started Saturday in the same fashion it finished Friday night, losing to Lock Haven, 3-1 (25-19, 25-18, 20-25, 25-14), but the Marauders finished strong by sweeping Alderson-Broaddus (25-19, 25-19, 25-15) in their second match of the day.
