The Millersville University women's volleyball team challenged visiting Shippensburg in all three sets of Tuesday's PSAC match-up, but did not have enough firepower to keep pace with the now 25-5 (12-4 PSAC) Raiders. Shippensburg took the match 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-21).

The Pitt-Johnstown women's volleyball team showed just why it is in first place in the PSAC Central Division against Millersville Friday evening. The homestanding Mountain Cats rolled to a 3-0 win, 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.

The Millersville University women's volleyball team closed its 2016 season with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 28-26) road sweep of Lock Haven Saturday.

Alexis Hamm is a junior on the volleyball team. She has played in 191 sets over three seasons featured as a defensive specialist and server. A native of Oakdale, Pa., she is majoring in elementary education.

Each day starts early. She sits in classes all morning and the early afternoon. The final class lets out, and she heads to the library to begin furiously working on homework. She checks the time, puts her work away, and rushes to practice.

Registration is now open for the 12th Annual Lady Marauder Pride Golf Tournament to be held September 21, 2017 at the Conestoga Country Club in Lancaster, Pa.

The PSAC women's volleyball coach released its 2017 preseason poll Thursday and pegged the Marauders third in the Central Division.

Featuring career performances from Erin Harman and Katie Laughman and an impressive collegiate debut by Lindsey Blevins, the Millersville University women's volleyball team opened the 2017 season with a 3-0 win over Bowie State (25-9, 25-12, 25-18) and a 3-1 victory over Goldey-Beacom (26-24, 22-25, 25-18, 25-16).

The Millersville University women's volleyball team polished off a perfect opening weekend by sweeping Salem International and Franklin Pierce Saturday at the RamsFest Tournament. The one-sided, 3-0 wins pushed the Marauders' record to 4-0.

Millersville makes its home debut Wednesday boasting a 4-0 record. The Marauders have started 4-0 five times under the watch of Brian Smith but have reached 5-0 just once. That came with a 7-0 start in 2015. The Marauders are 15-10 at home since 2015.

After leading Millersville women's volleyball to a 4-0 start, senior outside hitter Erin Harman was named the PSAC Central Division Athlete of the Week Tuesday.

Trailing 17-15 with Jefferson threatening to even the match at two sets apiece, Millersville senior Erin Harman took over service and sparked a 4-0 run that pushed Millersville into the lead. Following a 3-0 Marauder surge later in the set Harman closed Millersville's fifth consecutive win--a 3-1 triumph (26-24, 25-16, 20-25, 25-22) over the visiting Rams--with an emphatic kill.

Off to a 5-0 start for the second time in the last three seasons, Millersville aims for the best start in school history, which was set at 7-0 by the 2015 club. After a one year hiatus the Marauder Clash has returned to Pucillo Gymnasium. The invitational has run in some form for all but one season since 1996.

The Millersville University women's volleyball team ran its record to 6-0 Friday evening in Pucillo Gymnasium, and it couldn't have been a much more dominant performance. The Marauders delivered 38 kills and 10 services aces with set wins of 25-9, 25-16, 25-5 in a sweep of USciences.

A 3-0 win over Felician in the opening match of Saturday's Marauder Clash helped Millersville match the best start in program history at 7-0. But in the battle of unbeaten teams in match two, West Chester used a late first set rally to grab momentum and hand Millersville its first loss of the season (25-22, 25-20, 25-15).

The setter does it all: dissect and break down the defense at a glance, recognize her teammates' positioning, possess an innate feel for deftly setting the ball to just the right spot at just the right height and just the right speed.

illersville has matched its best start in program history at 7-1 but PSAC action begins Friday against Mercyhurst and continues against Gannon.

For the first time in program history, Millersville women's volleyball is 8-1 through nine matches. With a convincing sweep (25-22, 25-20, 25-18) of Mercyhurst Friday in Pucillo Gymnasium, Millersville scored its first win over the Lakers since 2011, won its PSAC opener for the first time since the same season and recorded the best start in school history.

Millersville raced to 9-1 leads in each of the first two sets in Saturday's PSAC women's volleyball match-up with defending PSAC champion Gannon. But in both sets Gannon rallied for two-point victories and ultimately swept the Marauders (28-26, 25-23, 25-15).

Led by Erin Harman's 21, four Marauders recorded double-digit kills, and Millersville rallied from a first set defeat to score a PSAC road win over Slippery Rock Friday, 16-25, 25-15, 25-21, 22-25, 15-11.
